To my mind, the answer to this controversial question is no. Examinations place a huge amount of stress on students. Having to cope with loads of material under a ticking clock may raise not only the panic level, but also lead to negative health consequences. Moreover, it may evoke among the students feelings of rejection directed at school and learning in general.

Those in charge should step back, reconsider the pros and cons of the current examining technique and contemplate a brand new evaluation method which will not stress the students as it does nowadays. For instance, schools can also prolong the time set for each examination. Thus, students will be able to manifest their knowledge and not their stress.
